Governance
The directors and heads of immigration meet at an annual conference to share their experiences, develop closer ties, improve their understanding of global migration issues, and give direction to the work of the organisation.
A management board, comprising eight members, including a dedicated representative of the smaller Pacific countries, is elected at the conference. The management board meets three times over the course of the year to oversee the organisation's annual work plan.
