The PIDC runs a secondment scheme to further build the knowledge and experience of immigration officers in the region.
The secondments are usually to other immigration agencies within the region, are operationally focussed, and are 1 to 2 weeks in length. Secondees are expected to provide a report following their secondment.
If you are an immigration officer in the region and believe a secondment would benefit you and your organisation you should speak to your manager in the first instance before the department contacts the Secretariat to discuss secondment options in the region.
If you are a director or head of immigration, or a senior manager, and would like to find out more about the opportunities available to your staff, please contact the secretariat.
